looking at this one particular notebook on my table gives me the urge to just open it and flip through the pages. oh grawr! ><

meet michelle's latest addiction - the notebook (courtesy of baozhing from a birthday / christmas, sadly, already forgotten) that she proudly dubs her (currently one-entry only) 'writing journal', even though she has no idea whether she can sustain this passion and enthusiasm until next week, or more realistically, tomorrow.

idea was conceived by msleow, after she dropped this gigantic bombshell of an SA requiring a short story of a minimum 1500 words. was later expounded by her, from choosing an aesthetically pleasing notebook, preferably without lines, to setting aside half-an-hour for writing daily.

truth is, the notebook (or should she say, the-temporary-hoping-to-be-permanent-writing-journal) is rather aesthetically pleasing - in michelle's (ahem) humble (ahem) opinion at least - but it is still filled with lines. as much as a blank page would allow for creative expression in the form of doodles, michelle does not expect anything particularly artistic to come out from her pictorial representations of things, and therefore prefers to express in words, despite the fact that she may not be particularly adept at this either. and perhaps compared with msleow's lime green leather journal, it is nothing much, but somehow she has managed to fall in love with this inanimate object. yes, save her, please.)

{according to her, it supposedly has a really pretty cover, full of geometric patterns in bright colours, and has pages done up in four colour schemes: blue, pink - and she means the nice shade of pink, green and orange. which are her favourite colours, amongst many others. and each page has a dotted line to allow for convenient tearing and thus removing of unpleasant / immature writings, and it also has two holes, should she desire to tear out everything and stuff them into a fastener. not likely in the foreseeable future though. she thinks it's both beautiful and professional, don't ask why.}

and of course, she prefers pen and paper when it comes to penning (pun unintentional) down her innermost thoughts, nevermind the cramped, small, and time-consuming handwriting of hers.

this spells deep trouble for the existence of this blog. oh no.

lives, writes, sings, plays the piano, and attempts to sound intellectual at times (conclusion: fails rather miserably).

loves music (almost strictly classical, hurhur & inclusive of faziolis!), literature (& also the sciences - no they are not in conflict), making hopelessly lame puns, laughter, white/milk chocolate, cheesecake, the world & the people in it. list not exhaustive, by the way.

wants the world to be filled with peace, joy and love, and also wants (perhaps a little more selfishly) to be happy, plus lead a life of purpose. that would be more than enough. (:

oh, and she likes embarking on her own 'free hugs!' campaigns after exams and the like; not really sure why. D: (at any rate, you can tell that she's random enough.)

very plain, she knows; but this is probably herself in its entirety - nothing more than a compilation of perhaps-boring-to-you little things (and the occasional Important Event), but also nothing less than all the brilliant memories which constitutes her life, and perhaps yours.

also interpreted as an inability to express with other things but words (nothing more, nothing less!), although even words sometimes won't do enough. but she does like orange.
